MEMBERS OF SOUTH MARCHES DO IT AGAIN:-

The St George’s Day Award Recipients 2017 names have now been published and South Marches have four members named

Bar to the Silver Acorn is awarded in recognition of further specially distinguished service. The bar to the silver acorn can only be awarded afer a silver acorn has been gained.

PATRICIA RUSHER – [known as ‘Aunty Pat’], Deputy District Commissioner, District Nights Away Adviser, District Appointments Chairman South Marches, County Training Adviser Hereford and Worcester.

DAVID OWEN – Group Scout Leader acting, 7th Hereford [tupsley], District Chairman South Marches, County Training Adviser Hereford and Worcester. Also well know for all his support with Hereford Gang Show,

The Silver Acorn – in rcognition of specially distinguished service. The Silver Acorn was first introduced as a St Georges day award in 1933. It is not normally awarded until after at least the Award for Merit has been gained and is seldom awarded for less than 20 years service.

PETER JOHNSON – District Executive Committee member, District Explorer Scout Commissioner South Marches, Hereford and Worcester.

PAMELA OWEN – Beaver Scout Leader, Group Executive Committee member, Group Administrator, 7th Hereford [tupsley], Assistant District Commissioner – Beaver Scouts, South Marches, Hereford and Worcester. Also seen supporting Hereford Gang Show.

South Marches would like to congratulate them all, thank you for all you have done and continue to do in Scouting. Well done and thank you.
